Johanna "Jojo" Dela Cruz (she/her) is a Filipino-American illustrator and graphic designer based in New Jersey and New York City, currently in Sarasota, FL where she’s studying Illustration at Ringling College of Art + Design (‘25).
Inspired by her Southeast Asian background and design movements and visual culture from the late 20th – early 21st century from punk to Harajuku fashion, Jojo’s work blends the old with the new, infusing cultural notes and vibrant colors in contemporary trends. Aside from illustration, she immerses herself in many different mediums and practices, from risograph printing, screen printing, to zine-making. Her aim is to create work that represents diverse and unconventional (sub)cultures in both Eastern and Western media.
She has previously interned at Sunday Drive Records as a Design Intern and collaborated with several bands under the label, such as Glare, All Under Heaven, Leaving Time, Anklebiter, Money, and Sign Language.
In her free time, she’s writing penpal letters, taping posters (or random ephemera) to her wall, or searching for the next hardcore show.
